Beefless Stew

That’s right… beefless, as in vegetarian replacement for meat. Not that I’m turning Vegan; I’m just trying to lose weight. Actually, this turned out to be a really good stew! I was astonished.

Beefless StewThe recipe came from my favorite Vegan Fat-free blog, FatFree Vegan Kitchen. I  highly recommend Susan’s blog, even if you’re not interested in Vegan Fatfree food. All the recipes I’ve tried so far are excellent and well-worth using even if you love meat.

I didn’t, however, stick to the recipe. I started with the recipe, but it was too bland. I added judicious quantities of Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, and – sorry, Susan – beef bullion. Once these were added, the stew was delicious!
